About The Role:

 

Location:               Flexible, with travel to Adelaide / Perth / site as required

Roster:                  5:2 Monday – Friday / Flexible – we are keen to speak with you about how you will make this work!

Reporting to:         Commercial Lead

Contract Type:       Fixed term contract for 12 months, with potential opportunities for extension or transition to permanent

Number of Roles:  We will be searching for a more  Contract Administrators to join our team during 2022!

The Details

 

Reporting to the West Musgrave Commercial Team, your primary area of focus will be to support Commercial Leads to enable the successful delivery of contracts and tenders within the WMP team.

There may also be opportunities to assist in leading it into the construction phase following a successful Final Investment Decision.

Key responsibilities

 

The Contract Administrator role will focus on ensuring the West Musgrave Project is safely delivered on time and on budget. Specifically, this includes:

 

  • Support Commercial Leads to manage EOI and local content engagement processes
  • Management of multiple Tender processes to support Project Delivery
  • Review and commercial evaluation of Tender submissions
  • Collation and management of all RFI responses during tender processes
  • Driving sign off and approval of key documents as per the DOA policy
  • Management of the post award contracts database / control system
  • Management of payment claims and milestone claims
  • Drafting of templates, commercial correspondence, and reporting
  • Management and update of ICN gateway for local content
  • Ability to liaise with cost controllers and planner to validate monthly claims / performance
  • Working with various project discipline leads (Quality, Safety, Environment) Positive mindset and commitment to achieving set outcomes within agreed timelines

Applicant requirements

 

This role requires a self-motivated, hands on and values-based individual with a desire to deliver best practice outcomes with skills, experience, and personal attributes including:

 

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Suite
  • Commercial experience accompanied with technical understanding
  • Experience with post contract award systems (Aconex)
  • Previous experience in Tender development, release, and management, ideally in large mining or infrastructure projects
  • Knowledge and understanding of contractual frameworks and experience in contract negotiation
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with various stakeholders and vendors
  • Attention to detail and accuracy of information
  • Ability to manage multiple and concurrent activities in a high-pressure environment to achieve quality results
  • Maintains a high degree of confidentiality, professionalism, and work ethic
  • Desire to learn and develop other supporting skills in a commercial / controls space
  • Highly effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Self-motivated, reliable, and considerate
